A WORD FROM PRESIDENT MARX
Since 1948 Louisville Bible College has been “educating preachers and other Christian
leaders for Christ’s church.” The fact that our mission is being accomplished can
be seen through the lives of our students and alumni. Eighty-
Here are some examples of what students and alumni have done:
1. One recent graduate started a church in his hometown.
2. One student has taken a church ready to close and is helping them revive.
3. Another student did mission work in Taiwan, while a second student is ready to go to an Islamic country.
4. One graduate recently received his D.Min. from Ambridge University.
5. Another graduate is working on his Ph.D. at the University of Louisville.
6. One student was homeless 12 years ago. However, by the time he began to attend LBC, he was heading a homeless help agency. He was baptized into Christ one night after class. Recently he was called to be the senior minister of one of the most historic churches in Louisville.
7. One alumnus is minister in a new church plant in Shepherdsville, Kentucky.
8. Pat Day, world famous jockey, has said of his experience as a student, “I was led to Louisville Bible College because I desired to learn more about our Lord Jesus Christ and His Word. LBC afforded me that opportunity. I have truly enjoyed my time at LBC: interacting with the faculty, staff and students and experiencing significant spiritual growth. I look forward to taking more classes.”
Educating preachers and other Christian leaders remains our mission as we strive to be THE premier Bible College for adult learners. Shortly after my arrival as President in 2010, I asked you to “Dream with Me.” Dream that we will strive to accomplish this vision by building relationships with new,
current and previous friends of the College; by providing the highest quality conservative Biblical education; by supplying spiritual growth and physical fitness opportunities for students; by improving our campus facilities; by having in place a core of excellent administrators; by adding faculty & staff positions; by offering church leadership seminars, Bible studies, retreats and other activities; and by gaining accreditation with the Association for Biblical Higher Education.
God has been busy these past several months—we have seen God’s hand lining things up to make this vision come true and, as a result, LBC will make a greater impact for His Kingdom. We are so thankful for our partnership with you. As I asked you then to Dream with Me, I now ask you to help fulfill our dreams. I hope that you will consider a gift that will help us reach our effort covering the next 36 months. Your support will provide great momentum for this current development growth initiative–Dream with Me: The Campaign for Louisville Bible College. Our goal is to raise 2.1 million dollars by July 2014.
We launch this campaign with the full confidence that you will embrace it with excitement, prayer, and financial support.
Yours in the Living Hope of Jesus,
Tracy W. Marx
